Since January 1, 2024, shipping companies have had to declare their emissions and buy an equivalent amount of allowances on the EU ETS.
A surcharge is applicable following this new regulation for all goods loaded on EAGLE services.
As of 01/07/2024, the EU ETS Surcharge amounts, revisable each month, will be as follow :
The EU ETS is calculated monthly using the market value of carbon (average of the month m-2), if this difference is greater than $4.
