TRANSIT FRUITS Port-Vendres is a subsidiary of the Compagnie Fruitière group, based at the heart of the Port Vendres international fruit terminal.

Over thirty years’ experience has enabled us to forge unique links with our partners. The weekly calls of the 5 ships of the Mediterranean line of our shipping agency Africa Express Line (AEL) enable us to create a connection with the ports of Vado, Agadir, Dakar, Abidjan, Tema and Douala. As a result, we handle some 260,000 tonnes of fruit imports from West Africa and some 50,000 tonnes of exports.
Specializing in temperature-controlled port handling of perishable goods, we are certified “Authorized Economic Operator” (AEO) for “Customs simplifications”/”Safety and security” and “BIO” certification.
Our facilities and services: We offer a wide range of services to meet our customers’ needs.
Port handling: Organization and follow-up of port handling operations with our local partners (from shipboard to truck loading).
Bonded refrigerated warehousing: We have 17,000m² of refrigerated warehousing space at the heart of an international bonded fruit terminal (IST).
Inventory management: Our inventory management is rigorously controlled. Warehouse temperatures are monitored on a daily basis by our quality department, and several times a day by our operational teams. Stocks are tracked electronically by our import department, and recognized by our operational teams on the quayside.
Quality control: Our team has its own quality control department, which uses its know-how to approve fruit and vegetables transiting through our port.
Container maintenance and inspection: Together with our partners, we provide maintenance services for reefer containers, as well as inspections and minor repairs for dry containers.
